Protests over La Playa Carmel labor dispute spread to owner’s other properties

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” –Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Protest over Grossman Company Properties’ failure to rehire the longtime hotel workers at La Playa Carmel has spread to the company’s other properties.  No longer limited to the streets of Carmel California, where La Playa Carmel reopened with only three of the former 113 workers in July, the workers’ supporters in other parts of the country have taken petitions, leaflets, and banners to Grossman Company Properties’ Phoenix offices and its Inn at Laguna Beach, California.  Please see the photographs below of these solidarity protests in Arizona and Southern California.  The message to company founder and chair Sam Grossman: Rehire the former La Playa hotel workers!
